Gaithersburg, Maryland, June 19, 2008 – Today Professional Products, Inc. (PPI) announced that it has completed The Carolina Panthers’ video replay system upgrade to high-definition (HD) at Bank of America Stadium located in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Video Replay System Project was designed by Wrightson, Johnson, Haddon, & Williams (WJHW) with N.W. Getz & Associates serving as Owner’s Representative.
The project was completed on time and within budget. “Professional Products, Inc. was a critical component to the success of the project due to their quality and teamwork approach.” – Michael Getz, Project Executive of N.W. Getz & Associates, Inc.
The system build included a new HD/SD production switcher, character generator, fiber cabling, an HD/SD routing switcher, intercom system, and video distribution. In addition, PPI built the infrastructure for their new large LED video display that shows live action, replays, video features, game information, statistics, game prompts and advertising messages for the fans in the stadium as part of the whole Carolina Panthers experience. The purpose of having the new equipment HD/SD switchable is to complete their first and second phase of a three-phase project to go HD, in which next year they will upgrade their cameras, editing system and VCR’s.
Bruce Kaufmann, President and CEO of Professional Products, Inc. said, “We have come full circle and we were thrilled. When the Carolina Panthers first came to the league, we were able to help them by supplying most of their equipment to build their own control room. This time around we got to help them build it.” |
