Gaithersburg, Maryland, May 30, 2008 – Professional Products, Inc. (PPI) announced today that it has completed a state-of-the-art audiovisual design and buildout of the network operations center (NOC) and conference facility at NeuStar, Inc., a provider of clearinghouse and directory services to the global communications and Internet industry. NeuStar is headquartered in Sterling, VA.
The NOC contains 10 work stations and nine rear projection cubes aligned in a 3x3 stack. Each cube is a 70-inch diagonal 16:9 screen with 1080p performance, and is capable of displaying either multiple selected images simultaneously or one large image. These images can come from applications installed on the high-resolution video processor, DVD programs, cable, or satellite TV. The main use of the system is to allow different news channels and proprietary applications to be displayed during 24/7 monitoring as necessary for routine and emergency operations.
The NOC is separated from an adjoining conference room by an electric glass wall. Touch-screen controls are available in both rooms, and allow the user to select either a frosted or clear look, depending on the level of privacy desired. The conference room also has a 60-inch plasma monitor capable of true 1080p display from various sources such as PC, DVD, CATV, satellite, or video routed from the NOC. |
