When the United States Army needed a company for the design, engineering, and integration of its new Soldier’s Media Center (SMC) in Arlington, Virginia, it enlisted the help of Professional Products, Inc. (PPI).
The goal of the new facility: to expedite the manner in which active, reserve, retired, and civilian personnel receive information and to deliver this information in a variety of formats, from television to print to the Internet. For this project, PPI supplied and integrated all of the radio and television production equipment for the Center’s TV broadcast studio, production control room, two live to air radio stations, voice-over booth, interview room, edit suites, and technical operations center.
